I’M LUCIE MOUNTAIN
I’ve never been very good
at doing things the
‘normal’ way..
Even early on, when everyone else was sending CVs,
I built something instead...

I’ve never been very good
at doing things the
‘normal’ way..
Even early on, when everyone else was sending CVs,
I built something instead...

At the time, I was working as cabin crew.
30,000ft in the air, listening to passengers talk about what wasn’t working.
What frustrated them, what they wished was different.
Most people hear that and move on.
I didn’t.
I asked questions, collected answers, pulled together patterns.
THEN I DID SOMETHING SLIGHTLY UNEXPECTED...
I turned it into something.
A full concept, a clear pitch.
Wrapped up in a box, literally, so it couldn’t be ignored.
Because I knew if I wanted the Managing Director to take me seriously… I couldn’t just send an email.
I HAD TO GIVE HIM SOMETHING WORTH PAYING ATTENTION TO.
It worked.
And, if I’m honest…
I’ve been doing the same thing ever since.
I’VE ALWAYS BEEN MORE INTERESTED
IN WHAT MAKES PEOPLE STOP.
Not just what looks good.
But what makes someone:
-
look twice
-
talk about it
-
remember it
-
choose it
Because that’s the gap.
Between something that exists…
And something that actually makes a difference.

CREATE MOVEMENT,
NOT JUST MARKETING.

I’VE SEEN THIS FROM EVERY SIDE.
I’m a builder AND a fixer.
I’m not just the person with ideas.
I was also the one:
Doing long hours.
Taking big risks.
Building things from scratch.
Figuring it out as I went.
Running businesses where every decision mattered, every pound counted, and getting it wrong actually cost something
So this isn’t just theory.
WHERE THIS HAS TAKEN ME (SO FAR)
(I don’t really do this for the credentials. But I’ll just drop this in here…)

IN THE ROOM
(where things shift)
Some of the best work happens before anything goes live.
Inside teams, on panels, in conversations that change direction. I’ve featured on BBC, Sky News, spoken at HRC London, accelerators and industry stages after calling out the stuff that needs attention.
If you want me in the room, let’s talk.
WHO I DO MY BEST WORK WITH
FOUNDERS
turning an idea into something real
SMALL BUSINESSES
ready to stop blending in
TEAMS
about to launch, pivot, or invest properly
ORGANISATIONS
that know “good enough” isn’t going to cut it
IDEAS WORTH STEALING
(Definitely not a newsletter.)
If you’re building something, or about to, you don’t need more content.
You need better ideas.
I share the kind of thinking that makes you stop mid-scroll, rethink what you’re doing, and realise what’s been missing.
NO NOISE, NO FILLER.
NO “5 TIPS FOR BETTER MARKETING.”
JUST IDEAS YOU’LL PROBABLY WISH YOU’D HAD SOONER.
